Open the Contest Page & Click "Start Application"
Open the contest page at the URL provided by the organizer. Click the "Applications open" button in the center of the page.
Select a District
A list of available districts will appear. Click the red "Apply" button on the right of the district you want to enter (e.g. Qualifying Round or Final Part).
Register with Your Email Address
A dialog will appear. Click the red link below the two buttons: "If you cannot create a My Page".
Fill in your name and email address, then click "Send an email". Check your inbox for a confirmation link and click it to continue to the application form.
Agree to Terms
This page contains three sections of important information. Please read each one before proceeding.
① Personal Information
Your personal data (name, address, etc.) entered during this application will be shared with the contest organizer. For details on how PTNA handles personal data, see PTNA's Privacy Policy linked on the page.
② PTNA Stage Points
PTNA Stage Points is a cumulative participation record system. Participants who apply through this PTNA page earn points for taking part in affiliated events.
- Points are awarded for the first stage only (i.e. the Preliminary Round). No points are given for the Final Round or later stages.
- If the contest is held across multiple regions, each region counts as 1 point — even if you enter multiple categories at the same region.
- Points are only added if you actually perform in person on the day of the event. Video screening / online judging does not count.
③ Payment
A system fee of ¥330 (tax included) is charged per application entry, in addition to the contest participation fee. Payment options are as follows:
- Credit card (VISA, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX, Diners Club) — recommended for overseas applicants. Payment is completed immediately and your application is confirmed at the time of payment.
- Convenience store payment — available in Japan only. There is a payment deadline; if you miss it, your application will be cancelled.
Please apply only after agreeing to the competition guidelines and regulations set by the organizer.

Select the category you wish to enter using the radio button.
Enter Participant Information
Fill in the performer's name, date of birth, address, phone number, and email address.
- Name fields: Roman alphabet is accepted.
- Postal code: if you live outside Japan, enter 111-1111.
- Address: your overseas address in English is accepted.
- Phone number: include your country code (e.g. +1-xxx-xxx-xxxx).
Enter Teacher Information
Enter your piano teacher's name and address.
- Name fields: Roman alphabet is accepted.
- Postal code: if the teacher lives outside Japan, enter 111-1111.
- PTNA membership ID: enter only if the teacher is a PTNA member.
Enter Required Piece(s)
Enter the composer name and piece title for the piece(s) you will perform. Some categories offer a dropdown selection list; others require manual text entry.
Review & Proceed to Payment
A summary of all entered information is shown. Check everything carefully. To correct any section, click "Correct" next to it.
When ready, click the red "Proceed to payment screen" button and enter your credit card details to complete the application.
